April release at So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club! More fun! Volume 2!

Earlier this month I posted about the April release of the So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club!  The release contains the adorable stamp shown below!  For this wonderful release, I created a greeting card using the So Suzy's April release stamp!  The stamp this month is this beautiful image!

Here is a copy of the card that I created using the stamp image above:

To create this card, I first created the background card using light yellow cardstock, a scoring board and trimmer.  Next, I cut a smaller piece of kraft cardstock to sit on top.  Next, I cut a white piece of cardstock just a bit smaller.  Using my Silhouette Machine and a file I bought from Silhouette and kraft cardstock, I cut the background fun beachy image.  I glue this atop the white cardstock.  I took a scrap of kraft and using embossing ink, stamped Suzy's fun stamp onto the paper.  Using white embossing powder and a heat gun, I embossed the image.  I trimmed it close, and using dimensional adhesive, added it to the white cardstock at an angle.

Next I tied golden cord several times around the white cardstock, and tied a bow.  I also added golden cord vertically.  I then glued down the entire white panel to the front of the card.  So easy and fun!

I can't stop creating with Suzy's stamps.   The stamps at So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club are adorable!  I encourage you to join the club today!  I'd love to see the projects you create with the monthly stamps!  Thanks for stopping by!

It's time for Retro Rubber Challenge #37! Check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!  It is time for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog's 37th challenge!  The theme this time involves using a sketch, and a stamp one year old or older.  Too fun!  Here is the sketch image and the card I created for this challenge:

To create this card, I used patterned paper from Project Life Blush Edition, a stamp from Simon Says Stamp, a die from Simon Says Stamp ("Labeled With Love"), Memento black ink, Copic markers, Wink of Stella, gems from Hero Arts, a sticker from SRM Press, flat and dimensional adhesives and cardstock.

First I folder and trimmed kraft cardstock into a card shape.  Next I added white cardstock to the card front and patterned paper to the lower card front.  I applied the sticker and two of the gems at the middle of the card.  Next I stamped the image onto a scrap piece of cardstock, and used a die to trim.  I colored the image with Copic markers, and Wink of Stella.  I added a gem.  I used dimensional adhesive to apply this element to the card.

Retro Rubber Challenge #36, April Showers!

Challenge #36 is live at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  Come join the fun!  The challenge this time is titled "April showers".  Simply create a project in this theme, combined with using a stamp one year old or older.  Easy and fun!  Here is the challenge graphic this time:

And here is the project I completed for this challenge:

To create this card, I used a piece of white cardstock and a stencil, by TCW called "Aspen Trees".  I used various colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a sponge on top the stencil, to create an image on the white cardstock.  Keeping the stencil in place, I used a spritzer and spritzed water onto the paper and stencil.  I dabbed off the excess water then used my heat gun to dry the design.  Next, I used an older sentiment stamp set, from Inkadinkado called "Thank you words".  I selected one sentiment and used Memento black ink, and stamped on the sponged design.  Next, I grabbed a flower from Mark Richards, added some Tim Holtz ink to it, then placed it on the card.  At the bottom, I tied silver cording, and placed a sticker from SRM Press.  I backed the image with black cardstock, then placed it all atop white cardstock using dimensional adhesive.  Finally, I placed all this on a folded and trimmed black cardstock card.

Please join us by visiting the Retro Rubber Blog.  Then, stop back by the blog one week from this Sunday to see the challenge winner.  We can't wait to see your designs!

April release at So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club!

The April release of the So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club is exciting!  The release contains the adorable stamp shown below!  For this wonderful release, I have created a greeting card using the So Suzy's April release stamp!  Below I show this month's stamp along with the card I created with Suzy's stamp.

To create this card I used green cardstock in my Silhouette Machine to cut the palm tree file.  (I bought this file in the Silhouette Store).  I had a piece of patterned paper, it was 6" by 6" in size and I trimmed it slightly.  I created a card using a scoring board and my trimmer, corner rounder and white cardstock.  It is approx. 7" tall.  I glued down the patterned paper and palm tree file.

I stamped Suzy's adorable stamp onto watercolor cardstock twice using Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black.  I then used My Zig Clean Color Markers to color some sections of the stamped image.  I cut them out (fussy cut) and adhered them to the intact stamped image using foam adhesive.  I trimmed the large stamped image tightly and placed it on the card using dimensional adhesive.  I tied a piece of Doodlebug twine onto the card and made a bow.  I added gems from Hero Arts on the glasses and palm tree.

I couldn't stop creating with this lovely stamp!  I made another project that I will post here on 4/27, please stop by at that time!  The stamps at So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club are adorable!  I encourage you to join the club today!  I'd love to see the projects you create with the monthly stamps!  Thanks for stopping by!
