Time for Retro Rubber Challenge #52! Let's have some fun!

Thanks for stopping by!  It is time for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog's 52nd challenge!  The theme this time involves using a sketch and a stamp one year old or older.  Too fun!  Here is the card that I created for this challenge and the photo inspiration image:

To create this card, I used a stamp released in July of 2015 by Technique Junkies, Peonies.   I inked the stamp with different colored inks from Tim Holtz (distress ink).  I used my small Misti to stamp the floral image onto a white panel.

Next, I mounted the white panel onto a black invitation sized card.  I took a piece of white glittered paper and stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts in black ink.  I placed this strip on the card with adhesive.  Next, I cut a smaller strip of the glittered paper and added it to the left far side of the card. Next I tied black cord from American Crafts on the card, and added a green dot.

I'd love to see your creations for this challenge!  So come join the fun!  Visit the Retro Rubber Blog today, then revisit one week from this coming Sunday, to learn the challenge winner!

Please join challenge 51 at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!

Please join us in the fresh, new challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  The challenge involves using a designated color scheme, a thankful theme and a stamp one year old or older.  Easy and fun!  Blow the dust off your old stamps and have some fun!

Here is the challenge graphic and the card I created using this challenge:

To create this card, I ran some white cardstock through an embossing folder, with background dots.  It is from Darice.  Next, I took a slightly smaller piece of white cardstock and a stitching die, and made the cut with design.  I placed the stitched white cardstock over the embossed cardstock and adhered the two pieces together.

Below the embossed cardstock I inserted two pieces of colored cardstock, slightly larger in size.  I placed all these elements attached atop a white invitation sized card.  I took a thin, sheer yellow ribbon and tied it on to the card with a bow.

Next, I used black outline stickers from Krazy Kreations, and glittered cardstock from Krazy Kreations also.  I applied the stickers to the cardstock, and used Copic markers to color inside the sticker borders.  I fussy cut the stickers leaving a thin white border.  I applied them to the card front using pop dots in an overlapping fashion.

Finally, I stamped on vellum using black ink with a sentiment from an older stamp set I own from Sweet Stamp Shop.  I do not know exactly the age of the stamp, but I know I have had it for at least a couple years.  I trimmed the vellum and cut the ends in banner style.  I adhered the banner to the card using Glossy Accents.

Please join us in the challenge!  Then check back to the Retro Rubber Blog one week from this Sunday to learn the challenge winner!  I can't wait to see your creations!
