The January release of the So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club is exciting!  The release contains the adorable stamps shown below!  For this wonderful release, I have created greeting cards using the So Suzy's January release stamps!  The stamps include this adorable flip flops stamp, and this super sweet sentiment stamp!

Here is a copy of the card that I created:

To create this card, I took a blank white card, invitation size, 4 1/4" by 5 1/2".  I rounded the top right corner using my EK Success corner rounder.  Next, I stamped the flip flop image all over the card front using Versamark Embossing Ink.  Then, I sprinkled Ranger Embossing Powder in Liquid Platinum over the stamped images.  Using my heat gun, I heated all the images until they were set.

Next, using my Zig Clean Color Markers, I colored one pair of flip flops on the card front.  I used 26 Light Pink and 25 Pink and colored as shown.  I had some pretty metal flowers in my crafting stash from ages ago, by Making Memories.  I glued them to the flip flops using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

On a piece of kraft cardstock, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Embossing Ink and Snow Detail Embossing Powder by Recollections.  I trimmed the kraft paper and rounded one corner.  I then cut two strips of white paper.  On the thicker strip I colored using the Zig darker marker.  On the thinner strip I colored using the Zig lighter color.  Then, I adhered the strips to the card.  Finally, I added the sentiment using dimensional adhesive.  My next card:

To create this card, I took white cardstock and fashioned it into a folded card, sized 4 1/4" by 5 1/2".  I took a piece of white cardstock, slightly smaller than the card, and using a die from My Favorite Things, cut out the polka dot background.  Next, I took a piece of pink patterned paper, attached it to the dot background, placed it on adhesive fun foam, and adhered it to the card.  Using a die (stitched square) I cut a piece of four colored striped cardstock, turned it on an angle, and added it to the card front using dimensional adhesive.

Next, on white cardstock, I stamped the flip flops in black ink, and cut them out with a thin border using scissors.  I colored inside the flips using Copic BG53, then added Wink of Stella Clear.  I added the flips to the card also using dimensional adhesive.  I tied a bow with trimmed ribbon and added it to the card.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment on trimmed cardstock and added it to the card and added a blue gem from Hero Arts.

I couldn't stop creating with these lovely stamps!  The stamps at So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club are adorable!  I encourage you to join the club today!  I'd love to see the projects you create with the monthly stamps!  Thanks for stopping by!

It's time for Retro Rubber Challenge #30! Please join us!

It is time for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog's 30th challenge!  Woohoo!  Come join the fun!  The challenge this time around involves using a stamp one year old or older, and the sketch below.  Easy and fun!  Here is the sketch and the card I made for the challenge:

For this card, I used the Technique Tuesday stamp set, Pretty Petals, which is dated from 2012.  I love this set!  I also used a piece of  cardstock in white, silver metallic cardstock from American Crafts, and a small strip of patterned paper.

In addition, I used sequins and stars, some silver string, dimensional adhesive, and regular flat adhesive.  Finally, I used several colors of ink and my Misti.  The inks are from Memento and are Rose Bud, Desert Sand, Grey Flannel, Lulu Lavender, and New Sprout.

I began by stamping the flower image on white trimmed cardstock.  I used ALL the inks, and stamped the image over and over in the same spot.  This resulted in a fun mottled color look.  I placed some string in a wrapped shape, and after adding dimensional adhesive to the back of the flower, I placed the string in the adhesive, then put this entire panel on the card front.  (I cut and scored the card into 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" size).  I cut and placed the silver and patterned papers out to the right, then added sequins using a liquid adhesive. Finally I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it, and placed it on the card.  I really had a lot of fun making this one!

I'd love to see what you create for this challenge.  Visit the Retro Rubber Blog for all the details.  Then be sure to join us at the blog on February 1 to learn the challenge winner.  Best of luck!

So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club Release Date!

Today is the day!  The January release of the So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club is live!  For this wonderful day, I have created a greeting card using the So Suzy's January release stamps!  The stamps include this adorable flip flops stamp, and this super sweet sentiment stamp!

Here is the project I completed.

I used white and kraft cardstock for the card base and card top..  In addition, I included a piece of patterned paper, it is from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Collection.  I cut and scored the white cardstock to result in an invitation sized card, 4 1/4" by 5 1/2".  I took my EK Success corner rounder and rounded the edges on the right side.

Next, I applied the patterned paper with the same corners rounded.  I began stamping the flip flops stamp onto the kraft cardstock, using Versamark Embossing Ink .  In addition to stamping on the kraft paper, I also stamped the flip flops stamp onto a white cardstock scrap.  I embossed the flip flops on the kraft paper using Snow Detail Embossing Powder from Recollections.  Then, I embossed the flip flops on the white paper using Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

I then placed Zig Wink of Stella in Clear atop the white embossed flipflops.  I hand cut the flip flops on the white paper, colored them with Zig Clean Color Markers (002, 031, 036, FL Orange, Cobalt Blue, Light Blue), and once dry I added the same Wink of Stella to the colored flip flops.  I added the colored flip flops to the card using dimensional adhesive.

On a scrap piece of kraft paper, I stamped the sentiment using the Versamark, then embossed it using the same Snow powder.  I punched a hole in the upper left corner, added a tied bow (twine by American Crafts) and a gem (Lt Blue by Mark Richards, Glitter Dome).  I placed this small kraft panel onto the card using dimensional adhesive.  I placed this large completed card front onto the card using adhesive, tying two rounds of string around the front as I went.  As a final touch, I dug deep into my old stash of chipboard and found this cute blue arrow.  After inking the edges with the darker blue Zig marker, I added it to the card.  Then, I came back to the card and added some subtle chalk in coordinating colors.  (Pebbles, Inc.)

I couldn't stop creating with these lovely stamps!  I made another project and am looking forward to sharing that with you on the 27th!  So please stop back by my blog at that time!  The stamps at So Suzy's Stamp of the Month Club are adorable!  I encourage you to join the club today!  I'd love to see the projects you create with the monthly stamps!  Thanks for stopping by!
