Another fun Retro Rubber Challenge Blog Challenge!

Come join us at:  The Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  This time, we have a super fun challenge, involving use of a provided sketch, and a Valentine's/heart/love themed stamp one year or older.  Need to send out some Valentine's Day cards?  Here's your chance to get a jumpstart!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

The Love stamp I have had forever!  I stamped it with embossing ink, then used white embossing powder on black cardstock. I rounded the edges, and split the piece in two.  Inside the opening, I placed a sticker sentiment from SRM Press.  The hearts are stickers from Jolee's, and I added some cardstock, patterned paper, ink, and one more SRM border sticker to round out the project.  It really was quite fun and relaxing to create this card.  So join us!  Need some crafty fun!  Join us at:

Selling A Muse Studio!

Hi everyone, I recently started selling A Muse Studio stamping and art products.  Why?  Because I adore them, and I want them for myself.  (insert evil muhaha!)  Basically I plan to be my own best customer.  But, if you are interested in anything, you can order directly from my website, My A Muse Studio Webpage

Here is a card I created with A Muse's camper, tree and text stamps.  I loooooove how it turned out.  I have other camper (aka glamper) stamps, but this one is such a great size.  And easily customized.  With my Copic blender, I had room on the camper to create a subtle floral texture.  I am toying with the idea of putting little curtains in the window and door also.  Because the stamp is large enough to accommodate that.  And a little sequin was placed on the camper wheel, because there is room.  :)

Besides their adorable stamps and the fact that they have Copics (holla!), they also have beautiful cardstock and inkpads and embellishments and so much more.  Really, everything a crafter needs to create adorable projects!

Here's my camper card:

And for good measure, I made another card using A Muse's flower and sentiment stamps:

Thanks for reading this post!  And happy crafting to you in 2015 and always!  :)

There's a fun new challenge at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!

Let's start the new year out right, with a fun new challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  This challenge blog is all about using your old crafty materials, to create fun new projects!  The challenge this time involves using a crimper, and a stamp older than one year old.  Do you own a crimper?  I do!  It's been collecting dust, but no more!  If you don't own a crimper, try using a scoring board to mimic the same effect, or a bone folder.  The challenge runs from January 6-16.  Join us!

For my project, I used a die-cut from Silhouette, and an older border stamp that I have, Versamark ink, and black embossing powder (detail).  I picked some patterned paper, some red twine, and 4 red gems.  I used my crimper (forgot how fun it is!) and some white cardstock to create the center panel.  Love the final effect.  I think it is both masculine and feminine at the same time.  I also entered my card into the challenge at Cute Card Thursday, check out their challenges too! I'd love to see what you create!  So make your way over to the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog now!
