Retro Rubber Challenge Blog, Challenge #33!

Another fun challenge from the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  This time around, it is based on a cute sketch!  To join the fun, use the sketch provided, plus a stamp one year old or older!  That's all there is to it!

Here is a copy of the challenge sketch graphic:

And here is the card I created for this challenge. I have to say, this sketch got me out of my box quite nicely.  I felt like I was in a crafting rut, then I took on this challenge.  I really got moving using patterned paper, stamps, stickers and more!

To create this card, first I took a piece of white cardstock and shaped it into a card.  Then, I rounded all four corners using my EK Success corner rounder.  Next, I took more white cardstock and a die (I think it is from MFT) and cut the cute window and stitching design.  I chose patterned paper from Hazel & Ruby (one design is on the front of the sheet, one design is on the back of the sheet), and placed one piece in the upper window and one in the lower.  Next, I added the two sentiment stickers from SRM Press.  I love how they are white and show with detail.

Next, I took an old stamp set that I have from Studio Calico/Hero Arts.  I have been wanting to use this one!  But, really never found the time.  Today was the day, yeah!  I don't know the name of it but it is from 2011.  It comes with two triangle shapes in solid and two matching in outline.  First I chose ink colors from Tim Holtz (Distress Ink) then I stamped using each stamp.  I stamped onto white cardstock.  I placed them in a banner type lineup.  The inks used were Tumbled Glass, Crushed Olive and Scattered Straw.  The black ink is from Memento.

Next, I found a small wood mount stamp that I have had forever but have never used.  With the black ink I stamped it atop two of the banners.  Then I cut the long banner with scissors, and adhered it to my card front using dimensional adhesive.  I found a cute white bow from Recollections in my stash and placed it on the middle banner, then I added an acrylic dot.  So easy, so fun!

I hope you will join us!  Then, stop back by the blog a week from this Sunday to learn the challenge winner!  Thanks for stopping by, and stop by the Retro Rubber Blog asap!
