It's time for Retro Rubber Challenge #39! Come join us!

Thanks for stopping by!  It is time for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog's 39th challenge!  The theme this time involves using a theme of flowers, and a stamp one year old or older.  Too fun!  Here is the card that I created for this challenge and the photo inspiration image:

To create this card, I used kraft cardstock and folded and scored it to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" size.  I placed a slightly smaller piece of white cardstock on the front, then took a piece of trimmed patterned paper from My Favorite Things (striped) and added it to the top.  Next, using a stamp from Winnie & Walter (Anna's Flora), I stamped the flower stamps atop Watercolor paper by Master's Touch using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Iced Spruce.  Using Copic Markers I colored the flower image, Y11 and 15, 19 AND 28, E99,13,23,55, and YG95.  I also took Y19 and colored a slim strip of cardstock in white.  I added Wink of Stella to the floral image, then fussy cut.  I cut between some of the flower petals and folded some forward and some backward.

Using dimensional adhesive, I added the flower to the card.  Next, I stamped an older stamp that I own by Hero Arts onto white cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  This is a floral style background stamp that is not very large.  I trimmed the image and rounded the upper corners and added it to the card.   Next, I used the yellow strip of paper and added a sentiment sticker from SRM Stickers.  I added the floral stem and slipped some tied cord behind the design.  I tied a bow and added gems.

I'd love to see your creations for this challenge!  So come join the fun!  Visit the Retro Rubber Blog today, then revisit one week from this coming Sunday, to learn the challenge winner!

It is time for Retro Rubber Challenge #38! Let's have some fun!

Thanks for stopping by!  It is time for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog's 38th challenge!  The theme this time involves using an inspiration photo, and a stamp one year old or older.  Too fun!  Here is the card that I created for this challenge and the photo inspiration image:

To create this card, I used white cardstock folded into a rectangular style card, a piece of patterned paper from My Favorite Things (6 by 6 paper pack, "Painted Prints Smitten"), a sticker from SRM, two wooden hearts from Studio Calico, some ribbon, Memento ink in London Fog, a piece of white cardstock for stamping, my Misti stamping tool, and a stamp from Darkroom Door, "Roses" dated from 2009, and three Copic markers, V15,  RV63, and Y15.  Finally I used a paper punch from EK Success and pink cardstock.

After preparing the background card surface, I stamped onto the piece of loose cardstock using my Misti, the ink and the stamp.  Next, I colored the roses with the markers.  I trimmed the rose image.  Then I trimmed the patterned paper and punched one edge.  I placed the patterned paper behind the pink cardstock, added the roses, and added dimensional adhesive, then tied ribbon around and around the front of the roses, securing behind.  I secured this whole panel to the card front.  I added the sticker, and took an additional piece of ribbon and tied a bow onto the ribbon layers.  Using the wooden hearts and markers, I colored the hearts then placed them on the bow.
