Challenge 24, Retro Rubber Blog, join us!

Hi there!  It is time for challenge 24 at the Retro Rubber Blog! The theme is travel. Simply incorporate something in a travel theme into your crafty design, and add a stamp one year old or older.  Easy!

Here is a copy of the challenge and a copy of my design:

 

I had such a great time making this card using stamps, dies, cardstock, twine, ink and sequins.  The scooter is an older stamp from Stampin' Up.  The grass die is from Lawn Fawn. 

 

I plan to enter this design in another site's challenge.  I will be doing this asap and updating this blog post with that info. so you can enter too if you choose.  In the meantime, join us! Taking a watercolor class!

Hi!  I am taking a class in water coloring at Online Card Classes.  Today I created this card using watercolor distress markers from Tim Holtz.

A new challenge! Ombre effect!

Hi crafting friends!  It is time for a fresh new challenge at The Retro Rubber Challenge Blog!  This challenge involves using a stamp one year old or older, and creating a project with ombre effect. Ombre effect is like a color gradient.  Here is a copy of the challenge graphic, along with a card that I created for the challenge:

Periscope app!

Have you heard of the Periscope app?  It is such a blast!  It is free, and tied to Twitter, although you don't have to be a Twitter user to use Periscope.

Periscope users can put up live videos, like live tv, that stay active for 24 hours, then they disappear forever.  You can follow others on Periscope, and when they start a new video, you get an alert.

This is so fun because you can watch a whole bunch of craft videos for free as they go live, or within 24 hours of them going live.  They are so casual and fun, and honest. 

I made one recently about coloring with Copics on special glitter paper.  It is now evaporated, but it was great fun!  I hope I helped another crafter out with the video.

It's time for challenge 22 at the Retro Rubber Blog!

The challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog involves using a stamp older than one year, an anything goes theme!  How simple and fun!   Here is the card I created for this challenge and the challenge graphic:
